Description
Climbing sector located 100 km south of San Pedro de Atacama. In this sector is the «Quebrada de Nacimiento» where ran the river that supplies water to the town of Socaire. His rock has a variety of holes with grip for the feet and a lot of aggressiveness for the hands.
Thanks to the large number of roads and beauties, it´s a place desired by the climbers from all over the world. Result of the height, we can find different climatic scenarios depending on the time of year. The sector has traditional routes of climbing, sportive and mixed, a total that exceeds 150.
Itinerary
The tour consists of 4 hours of climbing, in the winter at morning and in the summer at the afternoon. Roads have different kind of levels, which makes it possible for people who don´t have any experience to start at the easiest levels, as experienced mountaineers can opt for the more advanced levels.
